The definition of Stupidity!

Hello Beautiful!

Have you ever heard that the definition of stupidity is doing the same thing and expecting different results?  I ABSOLUTELY belive this to be true.  We are, by nature, creatures of habit.  We find something we like, or that makes us feel good, and we keep on doing it.  Sometimes that thing that we like or makes us feel good isn’t always the best thing for us.  Although we may KNOW this and sometimes TRY to change it the change is usually begrudging because we’re having  hard time fitting into our pants instead of the reason being ‘it’s really not good for me.’  And we try to make these changes over and over because we keep going back to that thing that makes us feel good.  This is the definition of stupidity.

Now take it easy, I’m not calling you stupid, I’m just saying some of the things we do are stupid.  You’re not to blame though, because let’s face it,  you didn’t really know you were doing the same thing over and over.  You really thought you were trying to make a change, and the change you’re trying to make isn’t the part that defines stupidity.  It’s the REASON behind making the change that does.  If the reason to make a change is merely to ‘look better’, fit back into your jeans, make an ex jealous, or just cause you read somewhere that you shouldn’t do that and so you thought you’d give it a try, then most likely you’re not going to make a lasting permanent change.

Change comes from within.  When we realize something is amiss inside and we KNOW somethings gotta change or something bad is gonna happen, then we’re more likely to stick to the change.  If we can tell ourselves a story about how it’s NOT always physical that it’s emotional, spiritual, and mental, and dig down to find out the REAL cause of liking or doing that thing that we know isn’t good for us we can tap into the real problem and fix it from there.

Our outside reality is a mere reflection of our inner workings.  So if you life is chaotic, frustrating, sad, ‘everyone out to get ya’ type thing than you need to start looking inside and figuring out why you see life that way and work from there.

That being said…you’re amazing, you’re beautiful, you’re talented and you belong here.  The world needs you here, I need you here.  So do yourself, and the rest of the world a favor and stop being stupid by trying the same thing over and over again.  Now that ya know…you have to take action.

Take a quiet moment today (any everyday really) to go inside and ask yourself how you’re doing and what you can do to help out in there.  Make things a lil more joyful, peaceful, and loving inside so your outside world will reflect!
